Our main aim was to find a shape that we could use for our structure which was
- Stable
- Flexible
- sturdy
- good support
Our Group decided that we used the octagon shape which is a 8 sided polygon as the base of our structure
- equal sides and length
- more stability
- extra support due to its 8 sides
- wide base
- full use of the space provided
- flexibility
- better distribution of weight of structure
The design of our structure
- Minimum height of 15 cm for each level
- length of side 9cm each (x8)
- 3 Wooden sticks for the main square frame
- 2 wooden sticks for the other pillars
- flooring of each level 6 x 4 criss cross formation
